The effort is admirable, yet if I were posting every change about my Amiga news page on ANN I'd soon find myself banned for advertising, I presume... :)

Why don't you have problems with the following 'news'-item?
"[Files] Relax 2.0 avail"

Ohh, sorry! Because that one is made for your camp and Intuitionbase is for the 'other side'. tsk..tsk..

In the FAQ section:
>How do I know what CPU I have without removing the fan from the CPU?
>If you have linux running go to "Info Center" (found in the system menu if using >KDE), I'm sure AOS4 will tell you too with showconfig.

What a pure lamer answer. The correct one is "cat /proc/cpuinfo" in a shell.
You will also notice that Linux don't know if it's an AOne or a TeronCX.

By the way, will the IntuitionBase team put a news on ANN for each byte changed on their site ?

Bye

I have a new question for the FAQ:

Q: Why do I get different checksum on the same file (using md5sum or anythong else) ?
A: Well, you believed Eytech's lies and bough a buggy computer: desactive all kind of DMA.

:-P

If you speak fluent hungarian check out my magazine at http://snews.vim.hu. And then come back and tell me that it's biased towards "some" side.

You know it's not good when the story headline start out "Yet Another...." REally, It's getting like the software announcements here were a few weeks ago. Bumped up revision by .1, make an announment. Did it again, another announcment. Geesh, Post when there is some significant advanvement or need to know like right now. They should really think about a month update announcment. Don't flood sites, They don't like it. Let the other news have some screen time.

I'm waiting for his server to crash and burn. People really do show their true colours when they get upset.

for all those who think this update is just a bit of messing around with html i can assure you it is NOT.

It has taken just over a week to code, test and fix the customisations section. It is as far as I am concerned a major update to the site, it is a rather large section and is the most complicated code of the entire site.

But then I doubt any of you care, but if any of you do please get in touch with me, I am looking for someone to take over the project, im about ready to throw in the towel, if it wasnt for the other team members I would of closed the site tonight and that would of been that.

You would have thrown in the towel for what reason? People whining on ANN?
People have always done so; surely you have a thicker skin than that. ;)

That took a week! Wow. I take it your new to PHP programming. Not that it's a bad thing. Just rather ambitous. I assume your working on revison 2, as it's going to need room to grow. Otherwise, you'll end up with a very long page. Are these just indivitual pages or is there some kind of backend content engine structure?
The layout and graphics are nice, I just wonder about the content managment and programming structure.

There is absolutely no need for that. But you're clearly on the edge of making the impression that you're solely trying to get more traffic by posting so frequently on ANN. Your site is all right as far as I'm concerned, clean, mean, and up to it's purpose. It'd be surely a loss to lose it. If you have noticed, I have nothing against the site, just made a remark concerning the pretty frequent news posts about it on ANN.
