This is wonderful and unique program! It would be shame to be abandoned... Does author planning something for OS4? Why he doesn't relise it under GPL (in case thet he is not interested anymore in developing the program)... Does anyone know something?

it's written in BlitzBasic2. So a PPC native port is out of sight, not for OS4 and not for MOS.

In reply to Comment 3 (Don Cox):
AFAIK large parts of BlitzBasic2 (or the OSS version AmiBlitz) are written in 68k assembly, or?

All of the user libraries for Blitz are in 68k assembly. AmiBlitz (the new compiler and the "Ped" editor) are under GPL, but everything else (libraries, etc) remain at their original lisences. The new compiler is capable of generating PPC code IIRC, but with 68k libraries it's kind of pointless.

German site with AmiBlitz info
Unmaintained site for Blitz2/AmiBlitz
Bernd Roesch's (AmiBlitz maintainer) release directory

I should add that AmiBlitz and Ped are a mixture of basic and 68k asm.

Anyway, the program works under Amithlon, so it should work in AOS 4.

Anyone tried it?

It would need the JIT to get a decent speed.
