AmigaKit.com has been going for almost a month now. It has generated lots of interest from the Community. Now we need to know what you would like to see in the shop?
Please consider what do you expect from an online Amiga store and what do you wish we stocked?
Please give feedback on AmigaKit.com and make suggestions for improvement.
Many thanks.

Amiga hardware.
There is no reason to buy from you if you just sell generic hardware, as your prices aren't competitive. Kettle leads for £4.49 when you can buy them from other places for 50p, or your Hard drives which are around £20 more expensive than the same drive from Scan, etc (though at least you're still cheaper than Eyetech.)
You need to offer products that people can't readily get from PC hardware vendors - Catweasels, PCI busboards, Pegasos or A1 boards and systems, some Voodoo 3 PCI cards, SB128's.
Yes, all the products you are currently selling "work on Amiga" but then, you'd be hard pushed to find a standard IDE hard drive, power cable, or network cable that didn't. |

That's true, but there is still some problems buying hard drives and such on Amigas, even these days. Maybe the HD light stays on all the time with certain drives (rather common). Maybe the drive doesn't work on an Amiga at all, or no Amiga partitioning tool will work on it (however unlikely). Maybe a router's config page doesn't load on any Amiga browser. Maybe some modems don't work at all with Miami or Genesis/AmiTCP. Some people might like the peace of mind of buying something that's been tested and definitely *does* work flawlessly on their Amiga, and pay for that peace of mind. Considering the interest in the site, seems they do. |
