Posted by Rafo on 12-Jul-2004 14:41 GMT | In reply to Comment 5 (Rik Sweeney): Dunno, maybe some guys spend all day googling "quake" and post de results on OSNews.
Just the same way some losers google "Amiga" then for each result they get, post a news item on this very site with a "Amiga mentioned on ..." title.
See ? |

Posted by Anonymous on 12-Jul-2004 18:25 GMT | In reply to Comment 9 (Felix): Perhaps it's just me, but the video does not work for me with any windows-players (plays a few seconds, then hangs). Tried BSPlayer, Mediaplayer, WinDVD, PowerDVD and Zoomplayer. Same at home and at work.. Could it be just a codec-problem, or is it corrupt? |

What is he waiting for? Oh that's right KMOS pulled his pants down around his ankles and spanked him like the little tw@t he is in court.... what was that BB?? Perjury? |

Better quality AmigaOS4 Video of native P96 drivers : Comment 20 of 44 | ANN.lu |
Posted by gary_c on 13-Jul-2004 00:23 GMT | In reply to Comment 19 (Graham_NLI): The last thing I know of is that the judge required Amiga, Inc. to provide the AmigaDE port to the Pegasos (or to provide Genesi with sufficient information for them to port it themselves -- I've heard this possibility mentioned but don't know if it's valid). Genesi's request to expand the scope of the decision to include AmigaOS was rejected even before Garry Hare and friends filed their 11th-hour statements as described in his interview. I'm not sure what the mechanism is now to compel Amiga, Inc. to comply with the court's decision; as far as I know, nothing new has been submitted to the court that would change anything, so apparently the situation remains that Amiga, Inc. must provide the port. If anyone is aware of something new filed by Amiga, Inc. or KMOS, please give us details.
Genesi doesn't seem to be interested in further litigation against Amiga, Inc. in spite of what might be opportunities created by apparent untrue statements in depositions by Bill McEwen and implicitly by others assocated with Amiga, Inc. during the summer of 2003 regarding ownership of the Amiga IP, which it was revealed had already been sold.
I imagine it's now clear that there's nothing further to be gained by legal action, or at least Genesi's time and resources would be better spent elsewhere. My own opinion is that whatever value the Amiga brand and IP might have had has steadily dissipated over the many months to the point that it now of negligible value. The Pegasos is making more progress in markets where a clean break from the past is worth more than an association with Amiga, and fans who are aware of the origins of the Pegasos and MorphOS don't need the label for authentication.

That's a little bit too premature (even though it's acting dead since the death of McEwen's daughter). |

Happened to me as well, even after having the latest codec. It still seems MorphOS is the best platform to watch OS4 videos :) (just teasing :)) |

Posted by Agima on 13-Jul-2004 11:28 GMT | In reply to Comment 20 (gary_c): Last thing I heard Amiga Inc. submitted to the court, among other things, the fact that Genesi has never "provided them" or made an attempt to "provide them" with any hardware "TO" port Amiga DE to. There for claiming it is impossible for Genesi to cry "foul" and say Amiga refuses to port Amiga DE to the PEG II.
I think Sammy has a web site up that includes all the court docs, including the one that makes the claim I just pointed out. |

Posted by Agima on 13-Jul-2004 11:59 GMT | In reply to Comment 27 (Agima): The lies are becoming more transparent on both sides. I doubt there are very few that believe either company will ever tell the truth.
I'd only say that I think that the guys at Amiga Inc. lied with good intention at heart. Bill Buck continues to lie to this day and always has just for his own personal gain. Amiga Inc. is no longer part of the community because they tried to make it and basicaly failed. Bill Buck is no longer here because he never was commited in the first place. He's gone to greener (bigger/more money) pastures. Just my POV though... |

Right, I've read all of those, and I do see Amiga, Inc. making claims and Genesi making counterclaims, but nothing has come of them after four months and I wonder if anything will. Has the judge issued any decision since his order on March 16 for Amiga to comply with the contract? No. So unless the judge rules otherwise, it seems Amiga, Inc. still has a court ruling to comply with.

Now we're getting somewhere.
Nowhere in hell they did all that lying by believing something byt heart, and you know that yourself as you're not as dumb as you tried to make us believe (I hope). I trust you have enough ability to realise there are so few innocents here when it comes to Amiga-market.
Buck is not of them, Neko is not of them, anyone of Hyperion is not one of them, I am not of them, you're not of them. |

Posted by Agima on 13-Jul-2004 17:04 GMT | In reply to Comment 33 (hooligan/dcs): What are you talking about? I'm innocent :) It's just like I told the judge... Sure, it may seem suspicous that I was found with 100 pounds of marijuana, 10,000 LSD capsuls, and a gallon or ripple wine. To the laymen on the street it may seem odd. But as I explain to the cops, I mearly found these items and was on my way to the police station to turn them in when I was arrested.
See.. I AM innocent :) |
