New version of Yam! : Comment 2 of 20 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Anonymous on 17-Jul-2004 08:32 GMT | .tar.gz ?
umm, We Amigans use .lha for archived packages - have done so for a very long
time. Would it be possible to have .lha archives online for Amigans to get - rather than expecting folks to have TAR and GZIP programs - or their AmigaOS friendly versions - to hand?
PS the OS4 version - is this PPC native, and if so, what are the differences to the OS4 beta version? |

Posted by Amon_Re on 17-Jul-2004 08:38 GMT | In reply to Comment 2 (Anonymous): AmigaOS 3.9 has unarc, wich handled the tar.gz file fine, i did have to first ungzip it, then untar it (but with a GUI, it's trivial :P) |

Yes. |

New version of Yam! : Comment 5 of 20 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Johan Rönnblom on 17-Jul-2004 09:47 GMT | It would be nice if the topic was set to something like "New OS4
compile of YAM" or something, as it seems there's no new version of
YAM. |

New version of Yam! : Comment 7 of 20 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Jocke 'Zerohero' Sjöblom on 17-Jul-2004 12:02 GMT | In reply to Comment 2 (Anonymous): Well, there's no AmigaOS4 native version of lha, nor lzx. The emulation is still kind of slow on the pre-release, so that's why I used the native tar and gzip. If you want I can make them tar.bz2 ;)

New version of Yam! : Comment 8 of 20 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Johan Rönnblom on 17-Jul-2004 12:07 GMT | In reply to Comment 6 (Amon_Re): I'm not complaining. I'd just like to see topics which reflect what
it's all about. Ok, my proposal for a topic wasn't good either, how
about "New compile of YAM released", then?
The title "New version" suggests it would be a new version (3.0?) or
at least a major revision. |

here on a 060, the 020 version, crashes if you send a mail with an attach (even the previous one) . . .any suggestion?

New version of Yam! : Comment 18 of 20 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Framiga on 18-Jul-2004 08:33 GMT | In reply to Comment 17 (VooDoo): BTW . . .someone could explain me why, with YAM 2.4 (not 2.4p1), the folders are showed quite in RT (even 2000 mails) and in 2.4p1 and above takes 5-6 seconds to show a folder with more 100-200 mails in it? (no difference if in the folder there are 100 or 1000 mails)
No great difference if under a 040 or a 060. . . really strange!?!
Cheers |

Why don't you upload UnLZX to OS4depot? :)
>have native on this machine. Anyone up for porting xad now that it's open >source? ;)
So XAD is not PPC native at this time? Isn't it just a matter of grabbing the source and just recompile it... |
