It looks like just what is needed, provided it is stable and bug-free.

The questions are - is there a printed manual, and how comprehensive is the ARexx port?

I'm not, i don't like the look of the site, but taste is something personal, other then the looks the site works well, wich is good.

I don't see the point in discussing this tho

IMO it looks good. I thought it was going to be MOS only, it's good to see there will be an OS3.x version. Can't wait to see the lite version for the Super Bundle:-)

Don't know about printed manual, but there is no arexx port for now. This is port from Win/Mac version of papyrusand first first goal is to reach stability, later features like arexx will be added...

BTW, I work on Mac port, my brother on Amig/MOS port, and I help where I can.

Thanks for the reply. A full ARexx port is really essential for any serious Amiga program. Pagestream, for example, is fully scriptable.

For a comparison, Imagine didn't have ARexx until version 5, and then a comprehensive list of commands was provided. Same for DPaint.

But one would expect that it would be easier to put the scripting interface in at the beginning of coding, at the same time as the graphical interface. It is part of the core structure of a program.

In reply to Comment 17 (Don Cox):
If you bear in mind that this is a port and not a brand new project "the beginning" getting the existing code to work in the first place. Trying to add arexx before the program runs reliably on the amiga is a very bad idea.

Once the program has been ported successfully, then adding arexx would be a good thing. Even then, though, I believe getting a list together of what functionality is important to add would be the first sensible step. Then, in my opinion, the best thing to do is order the list of things to add according to what people really need.

It should definitely be there, but I think we need to see what else it lacks before placing arexx high on the list. If enough features are missing then being able to script it might not be very useful just yet.
