Enough to buy a little company that has big debts and dubious assets. How much money would that take?

Apparently enough to pay for lawyers, tshirts, programmers/applications, Amiga Inc., (supposedly) Amiga Inc.s debts and Capacity. We'll see soon enough if or if not.

Already being paid:
- AInc secured debts
- T-shirts
- some application developers
- 12 own personell, ~12 contractors

Short term plans seem to be:
- Pay some/all of AInc unsecured debts
- Establish/publish office.
- update developer web pages (done by external company, most likely)
- update KMOS web page (office location, some marketing stuff)
- To put AmigaDE games AND applications in distribution (ASAP).
- To release AACE for another new platform during the next or this quarter.
- pay to even more developers

Mid term plan:
- 80% more personell (10 own employees and 10 more contractors)
- honouring coupon commitments fully
- release SDK update(s)
- shout from rooftops (=more marketing) (was it next September or so ...)
- release AmigaDE for pegasos if genesi still wants it

Long term plan:
- release HW with some Sony chip & AOS
- get more money :-)

More than sense, it appears. Why they have deciced to keep employing McEwen and Fleecy and paying their six-figure salaries is beyond comprehension.

And this is confirmed by other people, like users recieving their t-shirts?

Anyway, this sounds good. I wish K-MOS the best of luck. And it will be interesting to see how any future cooperation between Amiga Inc and Genesi will take shape, or perhaps rather if there will be any, besides the ones already settled - that is Genesi leasing trademarks, logos and Amiga DE for itself and any subcontractors. This could be interesting!
:-)

Lets see..

Garry Hare does some consulting for AInc.
Investors not happy at all with AInc.
Garry Hare is seen and heard as the new CEO.
Bill Buck mentions he thinks AInc has a new CEO.
AInc does not confirm it.
Buck is considered atleast 20% more evil than before by some people.
Wayne Hunt says he has seen the card.
Wayne is considered atleast 20% more lying than usual by some people.
skip
CourtCase starts.
SUddennly AmigaOS has been sold a year ago form AInc to ITec.
ITec later sells it to KMOS.
Garry Hare explains the buissiness card as just a little fun from his
side, playing around with his new printer, nothhing at all to
do with him expecting to be new CEO. We all laughed.
Accusations of "Shell-game" starts against AInc/KMOS.
Court rules in favor of Genesi, AInc must port DE to pegasos.
KMOS buys AInc.
They want to start working with DE, suddenly it is
an important part of the great plan.
PPC version announced.
AmigaWorld is filled with joy.

What have I missed ? :-)

No, I just repeated what was said.

" Wow, 1 vague speech by a dubious character, and people again start to believe ..."

Blindly opposing something isn't a whole lot better than blindly following.

As I tried to say, Garry made some goals for themself that they need to accomplish.

...so Garry needs to hurry, otherwise it's yet another disappointment company.

Seeing is believing.

>AInc does not confirm it.

They denied it strongly.

>Wayne Hunt says he has seen the card.

How did that happen? BBRV spread it around stirring shit?

>CourtCase starts.

Thendic (RIP?) started the process long time ago.

LOL!

That is not what he explained.

>Court rules in favor of Genesi, AInc must port DE to pegasos.

IIRC, I think they ruled that the original agreement is still binding.

>They want to start working with DE, suddenly it is an important part of the great plan.

Is it? And what's the conspiracy theory here?

>PPC version announced.

I think it was not announced. But now it is definitely possible.

>AmigaWorld is filled with joy.

That has been a fact since AOS4 pre beta release ... when it was announced that KMOS owns AOS it only became better.

If KMOS want to do anything with the DE, they need Bill and fleecy to tell them what has been done so far. The source code will be on a server somewhere. Who has the passwords? Who knows what the files are called?

Who has the list of addresses of developers?

You don't need to retain high-salary staff just to get the server passwords and developer lists. Presumeably (if it wasn't sold at the auction ;-) ) this information is part of what KMOS bought. I think Bill & Fleecy could tell them "what has been done so far" also as part of the purchase arrangements; they certainly don't need to be kept on the payroll for this purpose alone.

My speculation is that by keeping B&F on staff, KMOS is spared having to come forward with all the back pay owed right away. In any case, the B&F employment arrangements probably have more to do with the investor side of the situation than technology and product development. At least I hope so, wanting to give KMOS more credit than that.
