Uh... I am not paying money for a beta version of something that
I haven't tried/heard anything about before. It might turn out
I don't like it at all, or it being buggy/unusable. Yes, I am talking
about the A1 version here. How about making the beta free or time limited?

It would be really nice if I could test the A1 version before paying for it.
After reading the instructions on the page I'm thinking that it doesn't support booting from cd by using the slb so that you would have to enter UBoot everytime to boot the cd, is that right?
Anybody here using/tried the A1 version and can tell anything how well it works?

Ciao, Alfred

Dude, its ten euros for what amounts to most of a PowerMac*. You
can't even get last year's G4 Powermac, a whole setup, as cheap as you
can do a Pegasos. Quit whining, cough up the ten quid and give it a
shot.

Sheesh! Its no wonder there are so few devs left in Amigaland-they
all want it for free :-/

*I say 'most of a Powermac' because IIRC 3D accel doesn't work, and
that makes Jaguar much slower. However you can still run iMovie,
iTunes etc. and use the firewire ports on your Pegasos. Oh, sorry-you
have to buy a firewire card for your A1 that was already two hundred
bucks more than a Pegasos :-(( Sorry, couldn't resist..

You are only paying for the bandwidth required to download it. He is not charging you anything at all for all of the hard work he has put in to develop this very handy pegXmac system.

I can tell you that the hard disk installer works fine, I set it up a few days ago. This is an extremely cheap way to run Mac OS X at reasonable speed with good compatibility. If you won't even pay a few EUROS to download it then I don't think you deserve to run it at all.

I am not paying for software that might not work.
I haven't heard any A1 owner say anything about it.
I have tried mol on my A1/Linux box before, and it didn't work very well.
I am not paying to get the same halfworking thing on a CD.
That's why I wanted to know. Hopefully with the new A1 linux kernel, the latest
version of MOL will run, and if I hear something positive about this live cd i will probably buy it. Enough.
