If you doubt it only for a second in the past, then it is today proven that you were COMPLETLY wrong.
The 'blues' are EVIL!
You still don't believe?
Better read more about it and uncloud your mind:

I also heard that you still could join their mystical cult. Better do it now before they swallow you in a different way.

Posted by Ronald St-Maurice on 11-Aug-2004 16:29 GMT | Deep down, carnage wants a Pegasos. lol
It's not expensive. Just put some money aside for a couple of months and you'll have your own Pegasos. That way you'll have a more decent and up-to-date Amiga computer. |

Is Don Cox actually Jazz legend Herbie Hancock?
Does Garry Hare hire only white people? What about all the talented black coders out there? Don't they deserve a fair chance? |

Posted by Anonymous on 11-Aug-2004 20:20 GMT | Well i don`t understand the intention of this post?! What is wrong with a rc5 team pegasos? Honestly, soooo many hardcores moaned that MOS and Pegasos is not Amiga, so whats wrong with leaving the Amiga team and cracking for our own Team? *sigh* Amigians.. doesn`t matter what you do... they will allways moan... |

:-)
I wish I were one tenth as talented. No, I'm not black, not that that would have anything to do with anything.
It would, though, be a very good thing if the Amiga could be built up to a state where it would appeal to musicians as an alternative to a Mac. Tough challenge. |

Posted by Lando on 11-Aug-2004 20:47 GMT | In reply to Comment 14 (Anonymous): "You can call it whatever you may but without AmigaOS it is not an Amiga computer."
Not really. Eyetech sold A1's for 2 years without AmigaOS and called them Amigas.
Commodore sold that A3000UX machine running Unix and called it an Amiga.
I saw an A1000 on Ebay with no Kickstart/Workbench disks included, and the guy had actually written in the auction that it was an Amiga. Can it be an Amiga without AmigaOS? Suppose someone bought it and stuck in a hard drive with 68k linux installed on it?
Then there's Amiga Inc, selling those AMD K6-2-500Mhz PC's a few years back running Redhat Linux and calling them "Amiga Development systems". sure, you could have built your own, exact same spec PC for half the price but, as they said at the time "If it does not have the official Amiga Boing insignia, it is not an authorized Amiga Developer Workstation.", so people bought it.
Really, this whole "what is an Amiga" argument has been done to death. In reality any machine can be an "Amiga" if the current owners of the name decide to call it such. Whether it runs AmigaOS, Linux, QNX, OS/2, Symbian, or anything else. |

You can call it whatever you want of course, but Unfortunately calling a Lemon a Rose does not make it smell as sweet...
:)
But hey, maybe you prefer Lemons and are ashamed of that fact, so it makes you feel better to call it a Rose. Nothing wrong with that :) |

You know, agima, trying to be nasty can backfire: Consider this lemon (interestingly, a new blue variety) which has the genetic makeup of a rose, was nurtured by longtime rose growers, can be used for everything a rose can be used for, and people who tried this lemon say it's just like the roses they used to have, just much better. Moreover, it costs less than the "new rose" which, ironically, seems not to be a rose the way the old roses were, but is actually a pansy that has been sprayed red, dipped in rose scent, and given a "Rose(TM)" tag. Aren't metaphors fun? ;-)

It wasn't meant to be taken seriously as a red vs. blue argument, and I tried to post in a light way. You're right that emotional arguing about these things has become very tiresome and pointless.

anyway, the little joke was that the team was 666 yesterday. they're 520 now, or something, so the joke no longer works |
