I bet you were using moobunny.com, which coincidently is owned by Wayne Hunt and over the past few days the URL has pointed to amiga.org and amigaworld.net, so no idea whats going on there!

What is going on?

Well... here is what occured as far as I can tell.

Wayne in a late night rant had a pop in the main at Bill Buck (BBRV), and as I understand it to a lesser extent, Genesi.

Genesi responded in astonishingly stupid fashion by posting Wayne's Salary information via their web server, along with an email supposedly detailing all the issues with Wayne as an employee. They did this in a lame way to try and make out it was an unofficial leak. Its been so cack handed that its clear its not cack handed, its not a 'mistake', its not a 'whoops', its just a plain 'f*ck you wayne' attempt to attack the guy in a very lame public way.

Because this was in a thread on Moobunny, Wayne responded in a somewhat less than suitable way by re-pointing the mobunny domain DNS to other locations, I guess out of sheer annoyance. His view on it is that John Shepard should have killed the thread or similar, and as he did'nt, he decided to take his domain name rental and point it elsewhere.

If Genesi wanted to commit a clear rebuttal, they could do so on their site. Instead they pulled this ultra lame garbage. Now, I don't know the background to the issues, nor do I much care, except this is yet another example of Amiga type companies not being worth spit IMHO. You can't have trust, honour, nor justice with em.

In terms of Genesi, its possible that there may be repercussions. The posting looked to me to have broken UK law, if that were a UK employee/employer. I don't know what state/province nor laws these parties have to operate under, nor do I really care. It will all come out in the wash...

double standards????

When Rich Woods posted stuff, it was good.

When Genesi posted stuff its bad????

I don't think so.

I found it very informative.

Businesses are made up of people and people can exist without a company but not vise versa.

I see both parties need a good solid smack up side the head. Wayne for pulling the crap he did and Genesi for paying so damn much for the crap.

I think the bigger statement is that IT professionals ARE paid to damn much, if this is any indication of typical value exchange.

its stuff like this that makes a clear statement as to why Amiga computing has such a hard time going anywhere..... those involved are after money with no gawd damn real though or concern of getting the platform real....

A good ststement as to what sort of people Amiga computing has attracted into positions of control.

What has happend to fair and balanced? If Wayne has a fit, you say "less than suitable". If another party leaks information that puts the rant into perspective, you say its ultra-lame garbage. I found the leaked mail very informative. And I also find it very important because it makes clear that not everybody leaving Genesi on less-than-agreeable terms is a sheep that met the wolf.

Hello AdmV,

If you were CEO or COO or Genesi or any company for that matter, would you be the same person you are now or would you be different?

It was the right thing to do as it seems Wayne just bullshitted us all in his lame-ass rant back then. Trying to get sympathy me figures.. well you got none, pal.
The leak was no mistake, thats for sure. Professional? No. Was it good that it was "released"? Yes.

Maybe mr.Hunt remembers next time, if you play with fire you might get burnt.

And why would believe those that would do such an unprofessional thing?
What makes THEM so believeable?

Why is telling a lie good?

Hopefully, Mr. Hunt will be lucky and never again find himself dealing with people that have no morals. He deserves better than this nonsense!

This sort of thing is so shameful, I wouldn't want to align myself with these people. It's childish and vindictive.

Nothing Wayne did was childish OR vindictive. He made a veiled comment on his site. Only those who really know what is going on would even have a clue what he was refering to.

And if people really knew what was going on you would realize Wayne shows Extreme restraint.

That can't be said of the idiot who posted that "email".

You should all be ashamed of yourselves.
