Under the link you can download the last program made using the well knowed Milton Methode, a program able to predict the "Quiniela" an spanish lotery game. The program is in spanish, we don't know if this game is useful in other countryes. AmigaOS and MorphOS executables in the same archive. Download the file here

What is the "Milton Method"?
Not much on Google apart from "By using the Milton Method, which has been used by generations of Australian mums, you give your baby complete hygienic protection from harmful germs."

Lottery prediction programs don't work. There's as much chance of "1,2,3,4,5,6" coming up as any other set of numbers.

That's not entirely correct. Some numbers are good winners and some are not: Certain numbers are used by more people than other numbers (including 1,2,3,4,5,6 and date-style numbers). That means that the payout for these numbers is lower because the jackpot is divided among more people. In other words, it is mathematically provable that 1,2,3,4,5,6 has a lower chance to make you a millionaire than 5,1,3,78,34,4.

These "predictors" don't predict the lottery, which is random, but simply show how to maximise the return from this random event. So you will still on average lose a lot of money, but if you don't lose you will get more than you might otherwise.

It's almost always impossible to create a profitable "system" for playing the lottery (the exception is if many prior weeks or months of lottery income are used to fund a prize or group of prizes which are worth more than the cost of entering every possible ticket for that draw)

It would figure that Amigans, being unusually gullible as a group, would be if anything more likely to create such software.

You are incorrect. As an example, if the odds of winning the prize, without splitting it, are 1 in 100million, and the pay-out exceeds 100million dollars...then 'on average' you do not lose money, but gain money.

There are situations where the lottery, on average, has become a good investment, because the payout exceeds the odds. This is fine for the lottery officials, because they were never expecting 100% return...and if one week they pay out more than they take in, thats ok...you just have to wait for that week to occur (which obviously is not every week)

but meanwhile, back in the real world, all that happens, is you put down a dollar, and you lose the dollar, cause the odds are still astronomical...

however, for institutional investors, there are times when it would make good sense to buy 100 million lottery tickets or so, and bank on winning not only the grand prize, but all those smaller prizes for partial matches as well....which is exactly why such practices are banned in all the states lotteries that I know about....

anyway, I tend to agree, that these lottery programs are a complete waste of time.
