Teemu I. Yliselä writes: Thomas Dellert of DCE has issued a statement where he promises that phase5's current PPC and graphics cards will become available again within a few months and repair service will be offered for them. Also a new graphics card is planned. No news on the G4 front, though. Click below for details.
- BlizzardPPC will be available in 2 months, BVision and CVisionPPC will be available in 2 weeks.
- DCE takes over the repair service for these products. Owners of older cards need to make itself thus no concerns here.
- We already acquired the exclusive rights at the products in April 1999. We do not pay royalties at P5. rather the rights by a unique payment were acquired. Perfect contracts exist. The availability of the products is secured.
- I had 2 days ago a meeting with Ralph Schmidt and franc Mariak. We are us united to co-operate in the future very closely. There will be new software updates for these boards.
- a Permedia3 based BVisionPPC, CVisionPPC is planned for current boards. Frank Mariak (CGX) will create the drivers.
- With the entire technical Know How of the company Phase5 we have now a powerful package. For the time being however only as dual CPU solution.
- Whether we decide for a G4 project, I cannot say at present however yet.
I'm not sure if this is from the same source as the interview posted on amiga-news.de, which contains additional details.
