Bored of 'swich writes: Here is a new HDTV for you Americans with simple Amigas or that old Philips 15kHz monitor... here and here Notice that it provides an integrated line doubler for those old NTSC games, and also supports frequencies between 30 and 40kHz for an 800x600 desktop. Unfortunately comes with built-in x86 PC running Linux, but it will cost under $900 when released. Not bad for a 27" HDTV.
Shame it isn't widescreen and in the UK. You don't have to use their ISP either, unlike many other products, but if you do you get the TV for $199.
The built in PC is based around a 266MHz Geode x86 compatible processor, 64Mb of memory and a 16MB flash storage device for the OS. A hard drive is also supported, with the intention of allowing TiVo like functionality in the future. Can connect to the ethernet using the built-in modem or via an external DSL box via USB or Ethernet.
This is probably competing with some of the areas that Amiga want to go with the AmigaNG, however it is pretty interesting to those Amigans without amazing monitors. They can use the RF output to view games on the TV, and the video output to get a high res desktop.
