[Rant] Good old times, where are thou? | ANN.lu |

Okay, so now everyone has got his/her very own opinion about all the mess occuring in the Amiga community nowadays (AmigaOS4 vs MorphOS1, AmigaInc/Eyetech/Hyperion vs Thendic/bplan, Bernie vs Harald/H&P, hackers/users/developers/dealers vs Elbox... urgh... who'll be the next??). Every fscking single day there's a new reason that tend to split us all, in a sort of all-against-all war ("I'm on a mission/I made my decision/To lead a path of self destruction" just like the Green Day sung... why can't everyone sit down, relax, bury the hatchet and try to be more constructive, d'oh).
But what if I don't wanna join the rat race? Yeh, I'm very happy with my good ol' hw (Blizz/Cyber+PPC/Vision) and I only wanna update my sw. So, when/where will I be able to buy the new AmigaOS and/or MorphOS and how much will they cost?
When will an official list of features be made available and definitive so that I can choose which one fits my needs the most?

[News] Announcement: Malibu plugin for Hollywood | ANN.lu |
Posted on 04-Dec-2002 13:34 GMT by Andreas Falkenhahn | 3 comments View flat View list |
Airsoft Softwair will soon release the first plugin for Hollywood. The
Malibu plugin extends Hollywood to accept also Scala presentations and
display them. This makes a dream come true for those Amiga users who always
wanted to display their old Scala presentations on Workbench or on an own
Intuition screen in a system friendly way. The Malibu plugin is scheduled
for release in the middle of January 2003 and requires Hollywood 1.0.
Additionally I want to point out that I cannot attend the ARC show in Aachen
unfortunately. Therefore Hollywood is not available for sale there either.

[News] Eyetech Reply to BBRV open post. | ANN.lu |

Eyetech replied to Bill Buck and Raquel Velasco's recent posting in the AmigaOne group at Yahoo. This is a repost under my name, since the original poster asked for the article to be removed. I don't agree with the view that this message should be kept off ANN since it is an interesting read and presents, in a way, the other side of the story; but after some consideration decided to respect the original poster's wish to have his posting and name removed, and opted to create a duplicate.

From Amiga.org (post #52) :
"OK, last word before Aachen Show....
The is no Mai without April. The Articia does not work as promoted. There. We have said it. Everything that has been promised for the AmigaOne and the Pegasos will not work without April -- April is *mostly* a "patch." With April the Articia will work as advertised, without April the Articia will not. Betatesters of the A1 and the "Betatester (Pegasos)" know that there are difficulties.
