A new update to Scalos has been uploaded to download.scalos.com.
This is a pre-release beta, meaning there is no installer or guarantee
it's totally bug free (but what software is these days? hehe). If
you're confident then please back up your current Scalos executable
and install the new files by hand.

My exams are over, results won't be out until late June or early July though, so I can't say whether spending this entire year was useful or not. I realize I've got a lot of catching up to do over here. While visitor statistics seem to be stable, I'm hoping to build up on that, and get ANN on a few more screens.

Amiga are offering a time-limited offer called the AmigaDE Party Pack.
Basically, you buy the AmigaDE now for $99. For that $99 you get a pre-
release version of the AmigaDE, the SDK and a set of sample apps and games.
Then, you can choose between either having $100 off an AmigaOne 1200, OR
getting both OS4.0 and 4.2 when they are respectively released.
They say they are weeks away from OS4.0, the AmigaOne and v1.1 of the SDK.
The offer runs out on the 16th of June.

A new virus appeared on Aminet Recent hidden in the archive
/demo/intro/footro.lha , it's called Bobek2, I've warned Aminet,
and authors of major virus killers. The infamous 4k crashes if launched without degrader, if you unpack the executable and check with an hex-editor you can read a message from its authors.

Today was my second exam, a third one will be tomorrow and seven more will be in one week and a half. I'm trying to update whenever not too busy or tired. Normal operation should resume in mid-June. Meanwhile, I wouldn't mind having one or more additional moderators to post news on ANN. Please apply via email.
