[News] Looking for PPC Programmer for WarpView | ANN.lu |
Posted on 26-Jul-2000 09:04 GMT by Steffen Haeuser | 0 comments |
I am looking for someone to overtake the "WarpView"
Image Viewer project. The Source supports both 68k
and PowerPC. Ideally I am looking for a programmer
having StormC installed, but with some changes the
source should also compile with gcc-WarpUP. I *could*
continue the project myselves, but then a new version
would appear much later than I would hope for, due
to my other projects, especially my commercial ones,
which are more important. There are IMHO no major issues
to be done about WarpView, but some changes need to be done.

[News] Siege Data Files in Amiga Format Available | ANN.lu |
Posted on 26-Jul-2000 08:57 GMT by Steffen Haeuser | 1 comments View flat View list |
Data Files for Heretic II Addons used to need a
PC to convert the data files from "download format"
(which is smaller) to "final format", as the
dopat32.exe is not available for Amiga. A
version of the Datafiles for Siege, which uses
the Amiga Binary Patcher "spatch" is now available
as game/shoot/siege_data.lha on Wuarchive (12 MB),
so that Siege can be installed on an Amiga without
needing a PC to do the File-Conversion (After conversion
the files get quite big).

Another 'guess what, Amiga is still alive and kicking' note, this time in memepool weblog. It mentions the SDK and has a nice, succinct take on Amiga's business plan.

[Motd] "Add news item" now with preview | ANN.lu |
Posted on 25-Jul-2000 19:37 GMT by Christian Kemp | 0 comments |
I spent the last twenty minutes on adding preview functionality to the Add News Item forms. So while it should work, it hasn't been tested and fine-tuned all that much. I'm also using this occasion to remind everyone that you're encouraged to actually use this page to submit news. :) Bear in mind however, that articles will only appear instantly on the Unmoderated section and might be moved to the main page eventually - if the news item is worth a main page display, that is.

[News] Czech Amiga News not gone | ANN.lu |

In what they call a crazy joke,
Czech Amiga News announce that rumours of their death were greatly exaggerated.
Those of you reading these lines should know, that Wintopia2000 was just a small joke to celebrate our 2 years anniversary of our Amiga related news service activities :-) What a black humor you say? Well, the design took ExiE two days of work.
There were quite a few hints that their demise wasn't for real, this news item and some of these comments for example, but frankly, I wouldn't have expected this kind of April 1st joke on any other 364 days of the year.

This site is devoted to the experiences us Amiga users have when buying products for our Amigas. It aims to expose shoddy companies for what they are and congratulate those companies that excel.
