Marc Bradshaw forwarded another example of how a lot of "outsiders" still aren't aware of recent Amiga developments, despite massive exposure. The strange thing is that they know that Amiga Format closed down, but they seem to ignore the fact that Amiga no longer belongs to Gateway, and that Collas is no longer president. Read more below.

[Motd] ANN v2 pre-release 11 | ANN.lu |
Posted on 26-Mar-2000 14:36 GMT by Christian Kemp | 0 comments |
I forgot how complicated the comments script was. When I finally wanted to fix some errors and do some layout changes today, I didn't understand parts of my own code anymore. :) I now have hacked together a temporary solution for viewing comments in flat mode, but I'm still hoping to be able to rewrite the entire script sometime soon. There are a few other minor changes in other scripts, but nothing too visible. I'm sure most of you also noticed that I found a second sponsor.

On April 3rd http://www.amigan.com will launch. [..] This web site is owned by the newly formed Grapevine Computers Inc., and will eventually include many features, at this point I'm not sure which ones will be operational at launch date. It is being run on a fully Pearl/CGI enabled
Linux web server with a secure site certifcate for secure online purchases.
The business model outlined below doesn't seem too trustworthy to me. My advice would be to be wary. Any comments/thoughts?

SimplePost is a postscript previewer [..] based on Alladin Ghostscript 6.0 [..] You can switch between pages, save them as IFF-ILBM and print them (via external programm). But note that everything is far from being perfect.

[Files] Freeciv 1.10.0 (Amiga Version 1.9) | ANN.lu |
Posted on 24-Mar-2000 15:56 GMT by Christian Kemp | 6 comments View flat View list |
This is a native compile of Freeciv. It also has an own client which is using MUI. That means you don't need to have ixemul.library or a XServer. Actually the client is not completely ready yet, but most things should work. [..] Freeciv is a multiplayer game and divided into sever and client. But of course it's also possible to play freeciv on a single machine.
