According to a recent discussion in comp.sys.amiga.misc, Titan Computer's TwisterPPC was cancelled because there were too many PPC projects. Apparently, the Escena board is nearly finished.

This site describes the fall of Commodore from the view of Rainer Benda, former employee of Commodore Germany. Since it is in German, you either have to rely on Babelfish or hope for some kind sould to translate it for you [Hint!]

I figure I should post this as a kind of weekly reminder from now on. :) The best way to support ANN is to participate. Visit often. Tell your friends. Read other people's comments. Add your own. Submit interesting news articles. Tell me about cool sites and great software. Vote in the polls. Basically, just use every aspect of this site as much as possible. And tell me if there are any features you'd like to see added.

This graphically-intensive page could probably be best described as an Amiga fan page. It includes rants, links, as well as other sections. The graphics might not be everybody's taste and the popup ads (courtesy of Angelfire) are annoying, but the site might be interesting to visit anyway.

Definately one of the stranger news items... Johannes posted on Moo Bunny how an Amiga person with loads of h/w, s/w, flyers and business cards from Amiga inc stayed at an hotel in Newcastle. Since a person with so much Amiga merchandise should be a very rare sight nowadays, it would certainly be interesting to find out who that person (allegedly called "Philip") is. Any ideas?

From 27 - 29 January, Amiga International, Inc. attended one of the biggest Cable TV Shows in Calcutta, India. Just like last year, it was another full success. This time, there were four more AMIGA booths apart from the main one. Read more on Amiga's website.

Ben Vost writes on the Amiga Format Bulletin: I've known about p5 for about
three weeks, and the major concern was what to do about folk who'd actually stumped up the deposit and so on. While there may not be a G4 in the works, people who did pay a deposit should get their money back... however, since DCE paid for a licence to manufacturer some of the p5 products, they may also pay a small sum to be able to finalise the G4 boards that p5 *was* developing...
