The following employees of Hyperion Entertainment are going to be present at AmigaOS4 Event in Essen, Germany on May 15th. The Amiga version of SongPlayer 1.62 is available now here. The CDDA management will be improved but you will find a new tag editor for that. The CPU consumption comes back to a low level and a great improvement is the better mp3 support (still no vorbis at the moment).

The Stratagus game engine has been ported to MorphOS. You can download the MorphOS version here (700kb). To play a game you need to get some game data (like Warcraft II). For more infos about howto get some datas to play with see the Stratagus mainpage. Here are a few Screenshots of the game play in fullscreen mode Screenshot1, Screenshot2, Screenshot3 and Screenshot4. More binary updates may come (in case of problems). Diffs for people who like to compile on their own (or AOS4 or AROS ports) are included.

In a Press Release, Genesi announces a new CPU card for the Pegasos II computers. It will be based on the upcoming IBM 750 GX CPU and will carry the licensed PPC trademark. It will be used in new Pegasos II computers, but it will also be sold separately to current Pegasos II owners.

SoX (also known as Sound eXchange) is a commandline tool which translates sound files between different file formats, and optionally applies various sound effects.

SoX is intended as the Swiss Army knife of sound processing tools. It doesn't do anything very well, but sooner or later it comes in very handy.

Showshape is little program which can display small graphics on Workbench using transparency. You can create various elements with different forms and move them around. Think about Christmas trees, boingballs, round edges for your Workbench Screen, ann.lu logo, Bill Gates head, Speedy Gonzales and a lot more. It's real fun! It comes with nice examples.

LouiSe has made a lot releases of open source games and demos. For some of them you need 3D graphic drivers (Voodoo graphic card atm. only, with MorphOS1.5 also with Radeon graphic cards).

A camera team from 3sat travelled to Göteborg to visit the AmiGBG fair in early April, and prepared a report on the AmigaOne (including a version in Mini-ITX format) and Amiga OS 4.0; network access for the C64; Mac on Linux on the AmigaOne; and Amiga Forever 6.0 by Cloanto. It will be aired today (17.04.2004) at 18:30 CET. This should be interesting for anyone with a satellite dish, regardless of whether you understand German or not.

Another new version of VIM for MorphOS can be downloaded here. Besides the general enchancements from Bram Moolenar it also contains some minor changes for MorphOS. A new version of MLDonkey has been released which you can download here. Please note that I packaged this release in the way how CISC and TOKAI were doing it to not confuse people. Although please do not blame them in case something blows up or not work as it used to be. The compile has been done by me and MLDonkey has been tested and confirmed to work for me.
