I'm pissed. I don't know how else to say it. I willingly participated in the "I Am Amiga" club for the sole purpose of helping Amiga to further AmigaOS, and now I find out that they didn't even OWN AmigaOS when I sent them my money! What right did they have in taking my money under this false pretense? I will never trust anyone in this community again with my money, everyone has turned out to be nothing but liars.

Sorry to disappoint you, but no, I don't share that view: I simply don't care that much to not stand them.
I used to be a great Amiga fan, and with that an Amiga Inc. fan. I was so fan to be bordering the line of zealotism. Then I grew up and understood we're only talking about plastic and silicon here, nothing to be so religious about, and started looking at things from a longer distance, so to get the picture of the whole, rather than an image of a little part.
So, since some years now, I have lots of opinions to share, and when I see something to talk about, I usually do talk about it. It's not my fault if, objectively speaking, AInc put themselves in the position of being an easy target for criticism. That said, I always refrain from making useless remarks out of the blue about AInc, I always try to raise questions which I feel need to be raised when and where it's the time and place to do so. I might fail at it sometimes, but hey, I'm just human.
As for being anti AmigaOS... well, it's rather funny to say I'm anti AmigaOS, since I work on a daily basis on AROS. |
