I'm pissed. I don't know how else to say it. I willingly participated in the "I Am Amiga" club for the sole purpose of helping Amiga to further AmigaOS, and now I find out that they didn't even OWN AmigaOS when I sent them my money! What right did they have in taking my money under this false pretense? I will never trust anyone in this community again with my money, everyone has turned out to be nothing but liars.

Posted by 3seas on 19-Mar-2004 02:32 GMT | Consumer choice requires the existance of either/or products/services.
based on what is actually available to the general public in the way of products, services (including warranty issues...)...
being an Amiga owner since 1986..... and all that I have been thru regarding not only amiga computers, but computers in general....
my trust in software is well supportive of FOSS (Free Open Source Software) amd hardware trust is found in cheap working and easy to replace hardware.
Why? simply because the computer industry has proven to me that it is not capable in general of being honest enough to maintain my trust in it to spend money on what amounts to, in reality expressed in experience, maybe it will work, maybe it won't.
But for sure, if there is no product or service generally available and reasonable supported and naturally (a matter of numbers of in use) secure...
Then in fact it is not even on the list of possible consideration.
The question of "who is KMOS?" is not even a consideration and won't be untill the reality of availability of product/service, support/secureness gives cause to ask the question.
And quite directly.... I don't have any reason to believe that is going to happen .... nor do I think anyone can provide such viable, verifiable reason that can replace actualy product/service, support/secureness... |
