France wants to drop Microsoft OS in favour of Linux 'cause of it's open source nature. The French government is realy serious about this. This article explains what's happening. Maybe this is not directly affecting Amiga, but I do think it affects it indirectly since the goal is non-Microsoft OS, and the fact that Amiga can be happily hosted by Linux. 8^)

I never saw the amiga good enough emulated on any os
Linux can happily hosted by AmigaOS that's true and tested
with Geekgadget
Linux sux and his much too heavy and too complex : never a user
will know the use off all stuff in the os like on amiga
Linux is a toy and not an os
