Seehund writes: As you may have noticed, the AmigaDE SDK for Windoze is US$99 even if you already have bought the SDK for Linux. However, it seems you have a chance to get the Windoze "sidegrade" for free in exchange for a submission of some of your work for the AmigaDE to Amiga's FTP site. Read the (sparse) details in Gary Peake's e-mail to the AMIOPEN mailing list below.

AmigaDE SDK for Windoze "sidegrade" : Comment 7 of 13ANN.lu

In reply to Comment 6 (Janne Sirén):
So, is it possible then to buy the Linux version, then use your free upgrade to get a version for windows? (Or is it only small parts of the SDK which will be added/upgraded?) I presume not.
If you ask me, it would be better to give the Linux SDK buyers the chance to buy the Windows version for half price or something - at least that way, they'd attract more custom. (Rather than hold a 'competition' for who gets a version).
Personally, I think that (at least now in the early days) the dev kits should be heavily subsidised by Amiga and possibly Tao. They should be making it as attractive as possible to prospective coders.
