From Individual Computers website: Just as last year, individual Computers will be present at this year's Gateway Amiga show in St. Louis. In addition to the known products, the prototype of the brand new VarIO Zorro-board will be presented. It replaces the totally sold-out Hypercom Zorro boards with some revolutionary new features. A new software system by Thore Böckelmann that replaces HyperIO and the silversurfer.device, gives new functions also for users who already own a Silversurfer or a Goldsurfer. In cooperation with Cloanto Software, the vendor of the "Amiga Forever" emulator, we'll show the Catweasel ISA controller that lets you read your Amiga disks with a PC. Further, there will be a class about Zorro-2 hardwaredesign on friday, march 30th. It is meant for beginners and advanced hardware designers.

I´d suggest some of your own medicine - reading. ;-)

You read "exclusively" here, I read "at that day, things might change later on".

So Amiga Inc. will provide drivers for the G450 and the NG chip (G550), and chances are Eyetech provides V3 drivers. So where´s your assumed "G550, only"?

...until further notice, which means, as long as they can afford only one supported gfx chipset, this will be Matrox. Eyetech is free to write up drivers, and other companies are probably free to do so too. And as soon as Amiga Inc. starts to make billions of money, I´d daresay they might think about creating some more drivers.
And I remember some statements from about 12 months back, when they lined out their strategy: No way they could do all the drivers, all the apps, all the codecs themselves. They have to make AmigaDE such a nice design that nVidia, RealMedia etc. feel like making their own ports.
