Time line to the future : Comment 13 of 14 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Andrew Galinski on 22-May-2001 22:00 GMT | In reply to Comment 11 (Vincent Perkins (AmigaNG)): Erm, excuse me, what do you mean by "USEFULL" comments?
Do you want me to check your page for spelling errors, or tell you
"this thing is too far-fetched, please remove it"?
OK, let`s take just one page - your "OS4.0 pictures". You say:
"This page will be looking at all the early designs for the new OS".
Sorry, what are those "all the early designs"? Not being a native
English speaker, i would assume that "early design" has to come from
the hands of ppl who actually DESIGN the OS. Better write something
like "i can`t wait for actual OS4.0 screenshots, and since i have a
vivid imagination, i decided to paint something myself - here it is,
don`t take it too seriously". BTW "screenshots", not "seceen shots",
if you want me to be your spell-checker. :)
As for "site based on the future of the Amiga can never be 100%
correct" - you may well have a point here, but why try making
something up? Look at what N. James Bridge did (TRULY WONDERFUL
job indeed, kudos!)
http://www.xmas.demon.co.uk/AmigaDirections.html
This is a digest of what Fleecy and Alan have said on AmigaOne-ML.
A whole damn lot of info (i don`t see why on Earth do you claim
that your site is unique), and mostly it is as correct as it
can be - straight from the horse`s mouth, so to say. Everything -
timeline, answers to tricky questions and so on. Not that compact,
but far better than reading the whole ML-archive, isn`t it? :)
As for your spelling - this is a matter of attitude towards your
audience, period. And again, even if i say something unpleasant -
this is because i CARE, and because the basic idea was great (as
i said, polls are pretty well-thought and very interesting).
Judging by the way you write, you are young (forgive me if i am
wrong) - please try to listen, don`t fight back ("The simple answer
to you is if you don’t like the site then don’t use it!"). OK?
No offence.
Regards,
Andrew. |
