neues / 3 SAT Pegasos show cancelation confirmation / rescheduling expected : Comment 102 of 116 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Anonymous on 25-May-2002 11:16 GMT | In reply to Comment 87 (priest): >I personally respect that alot (same for people behind AROS, Amithlon,
>BoXeR, ...), I just wish they would not try to act like GODs and ignore
>AmigaOS now when the OS is continued.
What would you do? You say you respect the work, but if it was yours, would you be willing to waste it just because some new party comes in with money and some third-party help and in the eyes of some obsolete your hard work? I'm sure I would not.
They are not acting like gods, they are just creating a product. I'm pretty sure it is a labour of love for them. Sure, the market didn't shape quite as planned (AmigaOS 4 did come even though it seemed apparent for long it wouldn't), but that in no way invalidates their work.
It is anyone claiming MorphOS developers should abandon their work for AmigaOS now that the latter is being developed that are the ones trying to play god here. AmigaOS owns a name and a legacy, but it doesn't have any more right to exist than MorphOS does (barring any change in legal situation of course). |
