| Posted by Budda on 07-Aug-2002 10:11 GMT | The readme included in the archive mentions a number of small core patches. But one of the more exciting things is the improvement to the gfx drivers -
"Advantages of using the replacement are more hardware accelleration, multi-head and multi-card support for Matrox cards, and switching of resolution and depth(!) on most cards supported only through the VESA driver."
A new serial driver is also supplied; "Advantages of using the replacement should be a marked drop in lost characters (and thus a marked increase in transfer rates)" |
