In a few months(?) the "Lite" model will be released, which in most areas will have much better specifications than the XE. My guess is that the A1 Lite will replace the XE as a "base model", and that a "power model" that will be more configurable (with PPC 970?) will be announced later on. What I wanted to say was that new and better models might be released, the prices may go down, etc. So why the rush? The SE owners bought an expensive motherboard and still they can't use it as an Amiga. By the time they can, their expensive motherboard will be quite outdated compared to the by then available (cheaper?) alternatives. Of course, everyone spends their money the way they choose, but wouldn't it be wise to simply wait and see? Who knows, maybe OS4 *will* be released at the end of the next month (allthough I seriously doubt it, based on the recent show reports)?
