No, what he's saying is that it looks odd. To me, it looks like a Celeron 800 generates more heat, but also runs faster than a G3 (why else would they compare the G3 against a different CPU for FPS then?). It also tells me that the VIA CPU also uses less power than a G3. In other words, it's a lousy comparison. It tells me an x86 CPU that is faster than the G3 (the C800) and one that draws less power (the Via chip). That's just bad marketing.

The comparison they did with the G4 is way better, the CPU used to compare for power consumption and speed is the same. Here the message is "see, we're better than this powerful x86 CPU on both counts". No questions, no doubts.

Unless it's a cunning ploy to sell more G4s, if I were them I'd seriously consider redoing the G3 comparison.
