Well, if you favour non-linear thinking, you might see it that way. Me, if I don't see a benchmark comparison for the Celeron 800, I don't conclude that the G3 is slower or faster or anything. Now the facts: A Celeron clocked at 800 MHz might be a bit faster than a G3 at 600 MHz in some benchmarks. And slower in others that favour the PPC architecture (more registers). Mixed picture. A C3, on the other hand, is known to be an underperformer on a GHz basis, which makes it a good reference point for marketing. At the same time, it is close enough to the Pegasos in the sense of "alternative, fanless and cool" to not make you look completely ridiculous if you compare your offerings against it.
