I'm happy to announce that ANN.lu reached an agreement with Hyperion for the banner space on the vertical navigation bar. The deal is exclusive and long-term, and ANN's banner spaces are once again fully booked. Advertisement banners and Paypal donations ensure the long-term survival of ANN.lu, so I am fortunate to have such strong partnerships with KDH-Datentechnik, Vesalia and now Hyperion. I am also grateful for the select few individuals who donated money via Paypal. Thanks!

New advertiser: Hyperion : Comment 104 of 118 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Christophe Decanini on 05-Feb-2004 13:05 GMT | In reply to Comment 102 (Anonymous): I got moderated down only one day on OSNEWS. I have read somewhere that severeral people complained to Eugenia about the OSNEWS moderator I was arguing with.
The same OSNEWS moderator was one of the very few person who was asked to leave ANN because of his attitude.
So your claim: "And many of your attacks did relate to moderations done at other people´s websites." is a wrong assumption.
The "attacks" were defense when we where accused of biased moderation, bribery etc. The fact that the same people attacking us became well known moderators on other sites where they have been accused of abusing their moderator powers only confimed to us the bad attitude they had on ANN.
I agree that we should try to limit as much as possible heated discussions.
The problem is that it has to go both ways. If I do not respond to attacks or accusations or if I moderate them then some people think I'm guilty of something. Some users may need to have some explanations and I do answer to them. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it only makes the thread worse. |
