Rest of the world MM/DD/Year

In reply to Comment 6 (Nian):
Too right!
Everyone else goes by DD/MM/YY but sodding Yanky Doodles make up their own way of doing things that the rest of the world has been doing long before that country was even thought of.
Still, what was this discussion about? Oh, yes. G3's and G4's being droped or something. Can you blame them, I can't imagine the demand would be that high for them.
Tell me if I'm wrong.

Please wait for an official DCE statement.
Atéo is not DCE and I prefer wait for DCE to say it clearly.
Even if it's probable that Atéo is right...

Yeah, sorry about that. Being from USA I did think the month came first...
As far as G4's...I would suppose that as soon as enough G3's are
sold....G4's would be made (if they are available from Motorola or
whoever will make them...

Wrong pal. In Greece it's DD/MM/YY and it makes a lot more sense as it is hierarchical. Not all laguages use the "February 3, 1998" style.
Anyway...

In reply to Comment 11 (Anonymous):
I always use day/month/year, where the year is in full, for whenever anyone apart from me is meant to read the date - it is after all the accepted standard.
However, all my automatic backup files are named by year-month-day-hour-minute-second.
