Okay, I've got an actual, physical SNES cartridge. How do I get the data that's on the ROM in the cartridge out of the cartridge and into a file that DarcNES can handle?

Posted by Plain English on 09-Mar-2000 23:00 GMT | In reply to Comment 5 (Terry Wilkie): During the reign of the SNES, a multitude of devices that plugged into the cartridge slot with a disk drive in the side came out.
Notably, one I remember called the Magicom.
You would put your cartridge into the top, put a disk into the side, and click on copy. It was that easy to copy them, the downshot was that they were quite expensive (about £300 UK, $500 US).
Most SNES roms could be found on various warez sites so you could probably download your old games and re-live the old days.
Make sure you have the originals, or delete them within 24 hours :-) |
