In an email exchange posted on amiga.org, Dave Haynie speaks out on Amiga's Virtual Processor (VP) coding system. So, basically, I see a ton of potential here. [..] Whether they'll even get close to delivering on it remains to be seen. Though this is the way things will go in the future.

Its nice to see that we have Dave's blessing so to speak :). He's certianly very knowledgeable about computers. Maybe Metabox will build some bad ass G4 PowerPC system to compliment the OS.

Perhaps Met@box will evaluate using Ami/Elate for the next generation of their set-top boxes. *That* would be nice, because it would result in major sales for Amiga Inc., and pretty good exposure to the public *outside* the "freak zone". ;-)

Maybe you should have edited the quote a bit better to reference the fact that the statement "Whether they'll even get close to delivering on it remains to be seen." refers to KOSH and Phoenix, and not to Amiga themselves.

Met@Box is using their own proprietary OS so I rather doubt they will want to
pay to use someone elses after they spent the time and money to develope their
own.

I believe the quote does refer to Amiga themselves, and that KOSH and Phoenix
are just people (or rather perhaps, people on mailing lists) he spoke to about
Amiga's task at hand, and the difficulties he sees with it.
But of course that's just my interpretation.
