300 UKP for a simple AmigaOne 1200 mainboard? : Comment 1 of 16 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Dave on 18-May-2001 22:00 GMT | Even more amusing that it says 500UKP right underneath the 300 :)
So something ain't right, but I'd guess it would be epic. How do they know what the price will be if Eyetech haven't said anything on their site (and you'd have to think they'd put it on their site first, since they're making it). |

Posted by David Scheibler on 18-May-2001 22:00 GMT | In reply to Comment 1 (Dave): Well I think the 500UKP is the price for die-hard Ami(ga)fan(s) ;-)
But why should a dealer announce the product with a price he doesn't
know and if it is wrong he wouldn't find much customers? |

They just probably wanted to get the page and entry in their database ready. |

300 UKP for a simple AmigaOne 1200 mainboard? : Comment 11 of 16 | ANN.lu |
Posted by David on 19-May-2001 22:00 GMT | In reply to Comment 10 (John Block): No, they probably wanted to advertise goods early on the Internet in a desparate attempt to get some orders/publicity/money because Amiga users decided (for complex reasons that I won't go into) that buying Superfrog at £9.99 wasn't of interest to them. We're not talking General Motors here so don't sound so dramatic. If you want 100% customer service go and buy your games from one of those listed at http://www.elspa.com . Ah. |

("talking about a waste of money :-) "). Anyway...wrong price indication m8, so go back into that hole and come out when you can make another attempt to flame AInc/Eyetech/H&P..... |

Posted by Sam on 21-May-2001 22:00 GMT | In reply to Comment 15 (Thomas Würgler): C'mon guys you MUST be bored. Dont you think Eyetech have enough to do without *little* *silly* sneery remarks. At the end of the day, we can make a big issue out of anything i.e:
Why's Fleecy Moss's cousins' brother's uncles' nephew's cat using Windows? Why? WHY? Hmmm... should I:
A> learn a bit more Java?
B> Apply the latest patches to my Apache server?
C> slag his cat off to a mailing list cos I'm too bored, lazy or stupid to attempt A+B (please delete as appropriate) |
