George Robbins passed away suddenly on 26 April. We're all still trying to come to grips with his loss - he was a friend and mentor to many of us here at Netaxs. More info can be found at: http://www.netaxs.com/grr-memorial

In reply to Comment 4 (Minuous):
An aborted Commodore Unix box based upon the Z8001. It was cancelled when Commodore decided to focus upon the Amiga. See link for more info:
http://www.floodgap.com/retrobits/ckb/secret/900.html
Many Commodore users still resent Amiga for ruining their dreams of Unix domination.

Condolences to everyone who knew George.
It is said that the really good people die young.
Does anyone know what robbed us off George.
To lose someone in their mid forties who is active is unusual.

In reply to Comment 11 (Anonymous):
George died of a heart attack.
I've personally met him. Incredibly nice guy, and always willing to help out. His staff at Netaxs is the same way. I think he was the guy who lent me a 3Com NIC when I needed one to complete a firewall at Netaxs. My company is a colo customer there, and you always saw him out and about making sure everything worked right.
He will be missed.

People active in the Amiga community during the early 90s will undoubtedly remember George from his presence in the newsgroups. George tirelessly responded to questions and comments with a level of personal care and patience that made him instantly recognizeable as one the "good guys."
We'll miss you George.

It's true, he will be sadly missed...
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of Dave Haynie's Deathbed Vigil video... I'd prefer some digital medium as I don't have a VCR...

In reply to Comment 14 (Matt Parsons):
You can found that video on the Amiga Forever 5 from Cloanto. I think it is very hard to found a copy of that video because the people who bought it they will keep it.
