That's right folks, since today you can download again the daily snapshots of the sources and binaries of AROS. You can do it by visiting this page.

However, remember that the AROS team doesn't officially support these snapshots, they are given to you "as is", although bug reports are very welcome and should be submitted using the bug tracker here, and patches should be submitted using the patch tracker you can find here.

For anything else, head to the AROS main site and the the SourceForge project page.

PS: You might experience some problems accessing that page: it's not our fault, SourceForge is undergoing some problems.

Ehum... yeah, quick, but I had intentionally put "You can do it by visiting this page." out of the summary, so that people would click on "Read More" before rushing to that page... :)

You might be mixing things up. Wasn't it recently announced that Microsoft is developing a competing product to Sourceforge?

Microsoft are releasing some groupware like sourceforge ... But it probably won't even come close :) .. sourceforge uses SSH ... Microsoft would use IIS driven FTP.

Yup, sort of..
From what I read, most developers weren`t happy, as the MS legal blurb said that by using that service, you gave MS the right to use your code :(
A day or so later, MS admitted nothing of the sort, and the legal blurb had changed !

I do not know if you are joking or what, but by princible, people should stop attacking communism and start looking at our own system first. Isn't it true, that communism is a nice idea, as an ideal, but has been flawed time and time again because of the dictatorship of the proletarians? At the same time, isn't it true that democracy is a nice idea, as an ideal, but has been flawed time and time again because of the ruling of a handful of party leaders who goes to war, builds down the welfare system and generally does not know how not to *argue* all the time. We must be aware, that if it were not for the welfare system, none of the systems we have would do any good! We rely on rights and services granted by the welfare system, not the political system. All systems are flawed, and we should not expect the current systems to be here forever. They must all be improved upon.
It just saddens me each time when some person talks with tears in his/her eyes about the wonderful democratic system, where we only mean anything every fourth year or so. There are better systems. Long live the IDEAL state! :D
Anyhow, great to see AROS progressing.

Open source is a diluted form of Free Software
and is essentially a capitalist venture.
Communism on the other hand, centres around the idea that all
means of production should be held in the common. That is,
owned by the people. Note that the Soviet Union wasn't a
communist system for this reason -- the means of production
was owned by the government.
