A new tutorial has been added to SWAUG's Amiga Support pages. It gives an introduction to the Amiga version of Jabberwocky and shows some of it's main benefits. There is a step-by-step guide on how to setup Jabberwocky with Windows / MSN Messenger so Amiga owners can chat to PC Windows users.

Posted by hooligan/dcs on 14-May-2003 16:45 GMT | Thanks for the information. I got online on ICQ with it. One problem though, when I get a message, it only shows UIN@icq.jabber.dk instead of name.. this is a little akward as sometimes I will not know who is talking to me. Or have I missed something? |

Posted by hooligan/dcs on 14-May-2003 18:28 GMT | When I select contact and pick CHAT from menu, I can see name+uin.
But when someone is messaging me, I can only see uin and no name.
I have "Display messages using the chat-window" selected and indeed messages are going to a chat-window.
Also, JW loses settings for Show online users, Popup notify and Sound Notify when exiting the program, eventhough I have saved the settings.
There are more bugs found in 30 minutes than I have discovered in Windows from the last ten years :-) |
