Posted by erkan on 16-Jan-2004 13:19 GMT | In reply to Comment 1 (James Carroll): I would like to know just what clips today on MTV are made on Amigas?
Its so typical of an Amiga mag to run articles on tv-stations that use Amiga computers.. In swedish mags I have seen maybe 3 or 4 such articles during the years. |

Posted by Darth_X on 16-Jan-2004 14:07 GMT | A few years ago, this would have been COOL. But times change and the Amiga is now an embarasment!
So the world may know, the new 'Amiga branded' solution, the AmigaOne, does not include the video capabilities that the original (real) Amiga had. It bothers me that no one want to recreate a new real Amiga with video hardware capabilities built-in. Oh well, their loss. :( |

Posted by BrianK on 16-Jan-2004 15:42 GMT | In reply to Comment 3 (Darth_X): Video hardware is built into the mini-ITX AmigaMicro1.
But, once again it's a ATI Radeon solution. There's no specialized video hardware. But, it's a sign of the times it's cheaper and faster and more people write drivers for off the shelf video cards rather then roll their own specialized solution. |
