Posted by Don Cox on 14-Feb-2004 11:58 GMT | In reply to Comment 4 (Ron van Herk): "MediaPoint is a Scala and Scala Infochannel type program."
I reviewed it for Amigactive magazine. It has some of the features of Infochannel, the expensive top version of Scala.
The big problem is that like Scala it expects an AGA screen. Presumably this is being worked on.
Opening the source will be an very good step as there is then a good chance that it will get upgraded for both MorphOS and OS4. Maybe even for Amithlon too. So thanks to Ron and anyone else involved.
Hollywood probably has a more ambitious display module, but Mediapoint has a full GUI editor, almost as good as Scala. (But very ugly). |

The card is currently supported through ArakAttack but not yet in full 2.0 mode. That is being worked on, however. |

On the site is clear written that in 2002 was expected a mediapoint RTG.
I believe it is finished now. ( :D insert happiness smiley here + asd smiley)
/Quoting:
MediaPoint RTG is scheduled for release later in 2002.
Some of the new features are:
RTG support through Picasso96
RTA Support through AHI
Support for Matrox Dual-Head capabilities
New filetypes support
/End of quoting |
