Amiganews reports these good news. Jamiga jumps to version 0.0.3 from previous 0.0.2. The AWT is begin to functioning and some screenshots are available.

the jAmiga boys keep on surprising me! When I first heard of the project I though "yea yea, another Java project that will silently die within some months" but they keep proving me wrong! Nice work! Keep it up!

Whith the recent discussions between Sun and IBM about open sourcing (part of) Java this gets even more interesting for Amiga.

Kudos to the author(s) of JAmiga. This project has been slated far too much in the past, by people who just whine, instead of getting their fingers out and having a go a writing something useful.

I think this is a great effort!

Java has really improved and can be used for anything today. Even games (Of course it IS slower than anything written using C/C++ - But it's more modern)

I'd rather spend my money on this project than Amizilla.
