Best described as "a site similar to the now-defunct Amiga Web Directory", Amiga Resource is still under heavy construction, but already accepts site submissions and comments.

[Motd] ANN v2 pre-release 4 | ANN.lu |
Posted on 04-Feb-2000 21:29 GMT by Christian Kemp | 0 comments |
Pre-release 4 adds a "Read More" feature to news articles (if necessary), which replaces the "Local copy" feature used in the old ANN. It allows me to store an article in a single file and yet split it up in two parts if it is too large (the first, short part will then be shown on the main page, the two parts together will be shown on a seperate page if the visitor is interested in reading more).

Bob Washburne is the first to use the new "rant" section on ANN v2, intended as a kind of soap box for normal users to voice their opinion and perhaps get some people thinking. Anyway, please tell him what you think of his writing, and please tell me what you think of this concept. :)

It is all most here, ProStationAudio Millennium. The latest upgrade is currently being beta tested at EMRL, the North Americian Distributor of ProStationAudio, and all current indications suggest that this latest release is absolutely incredible and is sure to blow any Amiga audio professional away! If you need professional audio power, you might want to check it out. It is very interesting that many Amiga users are not aware of this software. [..] For additional information please go to AudioLabs.

As of Febuary 14, 2000, there will be a new Amiga Disk
zine covering the North American market, The UGN-Times. This disk-mag will be available at Amiga mail-order companies, and the cost is 100% the individual dealers' pd-copy price. In essence, this is a free publication. Two weeks after the magazine's release, it will be available as a free download from it's archive.

[Motd] News submissions needed | ANN.lu |
Posted on 04-Feb-2000 15:29 GMT by Christian Kemp | 0 comments |
I guess I wasn't entirely clear when I said I needed more people to contribute news. So I'll repeat once more that ANN's policy has changed twice in this aspect. (a) Since mid-1999, I accept news submissions via these forms and (b) Since February 1st, I now accept news submissions via email. My aim is to broaden the news coverage of ANN, but I can only succeed if you cooperate by letting me know whenever a new web site is launched, whenever a nice archive hits Aminet, or whenever something - anything - Amiga-related happens.

[News] Anews January issue didn't make it | ANN.lu |

Ben Yoris writes:
French ANG Editions SARL stated on its website that due to low sales, the January issue of Anews couldn't make it.
The magazine is now in complete reorganisation : less color pages, lower quality paper but the cover CD is kept! The french speaking community needs an Amiga dedicated magazine. Anews is distributed in Swiss, Belgium, Canada, France and is the last magazine to be.
