GTI and e.p.i.c. cooperate on Pegasos distribution : Comment 51 of 55 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Kelly Samel on 05-Feb-2003 07:58 GMT | Well, I do not see any problem making games
that work on AmigaOS4 and MorphOS alike. It
does not take much if any extra programming
effort to make something work on 2 systems
that are very similar in design and API. They
are both compatible with AmigaOS binaries and
a 68K compile could be used as a "virtual machine"
so that one executable would run on any Amiga
system (even Amithlon or UAE) and then have
specific optimized versions if necessary too.
There are a lot of ways of doing things now... :)
But more importantly it *is* true that OS4 is
not released yet so support for OS4 will
have to come when it is officially or "beta"
released for pretty much any program or game...
To announce an OS4 version just means that you
plan to support OS4 when it is released, MorphOS
version *can* be released now since a working
beta is out. I wouldn't take anything released
right now for MorphOS to be *exclusive* unless
specifically specified... |
