Review of Pegasos and MorphOS : Comment 12 of 18 | ANN.lu |

catohagen quoted:
"'yet there are many things missing'
' in it's current form it's not more stable than the original'"
1st point: those things are usually missing only for an Amiga user. There is room to improve, yet even in the worst cases it offers the minimum you'd expect from an OS. In other cases it's far superior to the original.
2nd point: the same will be the case (as I understand) with OS4... That's what comes from AmigaOS API compatibility.
I'm looking forward to OS4 though, I'd like to see that as well. What I saw and experienced from MOS was very impressive.
I've made that translation partly on request, and partly because I've promised on Amiga.org to make a review when I receive my Pegasos. (A promise I've made when Coder made his review on the AmigaONE)
English is not my first language, and the original article was in hungarian. And even if I was most probably unable to, I tried to remain unbiased.
Not an easy job, owning only a Pegasos and knowing only rumors about OS4...
Never the less, the article was my personal impression and opinion, many may like MOS more than me, and just as well many may dislike it. That's why I finished it with suggesting for everyone to try it out and form an opinion then.
OS4 is promising, and I still have the feeling that it may well be more successfull. We'll see.
Sorry from those who felt offended from my poor english. Usually I'm rarely making english translation for articles. |
