ha! i laugh at your Debian and its feeble apt-get system ;-)

seriously, its the best Linux tool, but pails into weakness
when put up against the *BSD ports system :-)

ps its just

1>apt-update
2>apt-upgrade

pps i've always wanted AmigaOS to have a decent package management tool..one
where you can just run the update...and it checks against the repository
and informs you if theres a new version etc.... this could actually be done
against AmiNET with a few extra tags on aminet files and another INDEX file
