Amiga Inc. Has Sold AmigaOS Rights : Comment 25 of 124 | ANN.lu |
Posted by gary_c on 16-Mar-2004 01:43 GMT | In reply to Comment 19 (Darrin): Interesting to see that the anti-Amiga Inc brigade managed to slime their way here before everyone else.
I was wondering how long it'd be before we got a rational, reasonable post by an Amiga supporter instead of Anonymous insults and slams. Still waiting, actually. But at least you've signed your post.
I see nothing negative here (unless you're an extremist member of the Blue Camp). What's the matter boys? I take it your expectations of getting a copy of OS4 for the Pegasos for only $5 or better still, seeing it buried forever just went up in smoke.
I can't believe you're still unaware of Genesi's ideas about AmigaOS4 and the Pegasos. Please read them more carefully. Or, I suppose if you did have that information, it'd take all the wind out of your flames, so I suppost it's best for you to continue to make things up as you go along.
As for "seeing nothing negative here," that's to be expected, but the fact that this sale seems to have occurred in a parallel universe vis-a-vis Amiga's hearings before the Washington State court might be something the judge would want to look into. If there is a ready explanation, that's fine, of course.
So the AmigaOne and OS4 still have a bright future and remain solidly in the hands of the people who backed it all along.
That could well be, but I think nothing much can be said until we know something about this mysterious transaction. As I posted earlier, if this is legit, I hope it opens up possibilities for the OS that Amiga, Inc. wasn't ready for.
Tonight the Red Camp celebrate while the Blue Camp passes out the Kleenex ;-)
If you could you shrinkwrap this little mental construct you've got going, you could probably give the game market a nice boost. ;-) Don't forget the disclaimer, though: "Not to be confused with reality."
