gfxbase is/was one of the most professional-looking Amiga related sites on the Internet. |

This is the greater loss... a complete non-interest for a good machine...
And by the way... all the good stuff stored into site must be intended canceled by now or it could be still reached?
Ah, Richard Kapp, if you had canceled your site information, you had canceled a piece of yours and ours common memories and a valid aid for the actual (even shrinking Amiga community and market).
At least you could have leaved it to another amigan site interested in that infos.
Good luck indeed for your new site.
Ciao,

GFX-BASE R.I.P. : Comment 5 of 13 | ANN.lu |
Posted by z5 on 21-Sep-2003 06:43 GMT | Indeed, sad to see gfx-base go. It was a cool site. But it was expected and i saw it coming. Lack of visitor support, no real amiga news anymore,...
I suppose there's no need for any ADA news anymore ? :)
As usual, the design from NewsJuice is fab (allthough orange??? :)). I just hope you don't fall into the "try to cover too much different things and never find it's visitors" (if you know what i mean).
Anyway, good luck with the new site! And thanks for gfxbase! It was appreciated. |

GFX-BASE R.I.P. : Comment 6 of 13 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Felix Schwarz on 21-Sep-2003 07:52 GMT | Hey Richard,
sad to see GFX Base leave the market, it was an enrichment for this scene. I really hope someone as qualified as you will stand up and revive the site and keep it going. I wish you much luck with NewsJuice and I'm sure our ways will cross again sometime in the future (after all, the world is a village :) ..
Best regards,
Felix Schwarz |

It did contain a lot of useful information. |

GFX-BASE R.I.P. : Comment 10 of 13 | ANN.lu |
Posted by AmigaVolks on 21-Sep-2003 17:12 GMT | I am sorry to see GFX - base go. It was the best-designed , most professional looking Amiga site and provided a valuable resource for video/graphic professionals like myself. Its reviews were consistently unbiased and informative.
Please consider making an archive available or starting it again when OS4 is released.
Thank you
