squalid half-hearted fashion. I'd have prefered to state that at
least both 'camps' can see that each other had delays and failings
of promised goods. In this case, recall the high summer when the PegII
was due to be out in September. September arrived...this was noted
and the 'blue camp' said there were 30 days... October then came and went
and then November too.

lets face it, we're in a technology sector here. delays are bound to occur
and anyone who thinks a project can be tied to be released on a specific
date lives in 'Cloud Cuckoo land'

..I'd have thought/liked for the MOS which comes with the PegII to be 1.5
though...from infos I've received it seems to be much more than the current
PegI 1.4. the PegI's should get there MOS 1.5 from FTP on the same release
date in an ideal world.

..but do we live in an ideal world? over to you.

The majority of online business is done that way, moron. If you can find dealers that charge after shipping, count yourself lucky. If you mean charge before having the goods ready to ship, you are still wrong but it gets shady if the delay is extended beyond certain limits; at some point, sellers will have to offer reversal of payment (which AFAIK Genesi does and Amiga Inc does not).

There's lot of people who don't have anything against Genesi but it's management, I have nothing against it but some of its users, that puted plained and simply. Well, Pixie, if you really wanted things to mellow out, the smart thing to do would have been to not offer up that "who started it" opinion. That would be the smart choice if you were earnest.

But maybe it was just an opportunity to also then get in a chop at Genesi management, and then another one at some of the Pegasos users - since that's what in fact you have done.

All in all, you just seem to want to keep digging it deeper. And I just gotta laugh ; } ...Because I doubt most people posting right here right now take any of this too seriously anyway. Ho ho ho! ; }

I would not say that, not until the actual goods have arrived at the customer`s doorstep, so to say. I am curious by nature and the process of creating something is mostly far more interesting than the end result.

I would be genuinly pissed off if that happened to me and call my credit card ompany to get them to refund me the money. The pegasos(2) ordering sites/pages don`t seem to indicate that it is undetermined when they`ll arrive after ordering(concerning the pegasos1 you could order one, even though it was pretty much a public secret that they weren`t available). Thus you`d expect it to be there within a reasonable amount of time after ordering it. And if the product is not in stock or unfinished, that should be clearly stated. I for one have not been able to ever find such statements on the sites and as such always found them a little deceiving. Not an uncommon practice in this little niche market and maybe this is quite normal for some, not for me though.
