PegXMac is a special LiveCd for Pegasos 2 capable to boot (without any hd requiring) MacOnLinux 0.9.3 (the latest stable version)!
Download it now!
Based on Debian 3, the LiveCd is avaiable from a specified ftp site for the simbolic 1E (1$) price, necessary to support the download bandwitch :D
It's full autosensitive (Firewire support too!) and really easy to use due it's nature of LiveCd.
New site will be opened soon to supply the bandwitch overusing on Geocities.
In the meantime, if you are, lucky:

1.40 euro ($1.71 US) is peanuts. I'm sure you could have charged a little more and helped more with the site and costs.
Don't even have a Peg yet but I paid the fee to get this. |

I think you mean to say violater's may be prosecuted. I don't think folks will be persecuted for violation of the EULA. |

Posted by gary_c on 28-Apr-2004 06:04 GMT | In reply to Comment 9 (Crumb // AAT): Unless things have changed, this works with Peg1 as well as Peg2. (His site says "PegXMAC is the only LIVE CD in existance to be configured specifically for the pegasos I, II".)

Posted by Elwood on 28-Apr-2004 09:33 GMT | Could you explain why one should boot MOL instead of MOS and even do so without an HD ? I don't understand...
Or maybe this CD can be used to install MOL on HD as well. |

PegXMAC Available for Pegasos2! : Comment 17 of 28 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Anonymous on 28-Apr-2004 12:35 GMT | In reply to Comment 12 (Elwood): easy:
- You boot from PegXMac to have a confortable environement for the MacOS X (MOL).
- You use a FireWire HD to install/boot the MacOS X in MOL
conclusion:
- You haven't spent a week to install Linux
- You need to find a friend with a Mac to put the MacOS X on the FireWire HD :-)
- Thx to the PegXLin team !
- Thx to MOL team
- Thx to bPlan
PS: you could even use a real HD (but then you need a didicated parition)
PS2: Pegasos rules!
Bye |

Posted by Seehund on 28-Apr-2004 12:58 GMT | In reply to Comment 7 (MIKE): In the case of EULA violations, I think persecution is more likely to happen than prosecution. ;)
(Unless the violation of something in the EULA also happens to be a violation of a law, e.g. copyright infringement.) |

Posted by serge on 28-Apr-2004 17:31 GMT | Is it only PEG II or PEG too?
On David's site it seems to be for PEG I and II, but in this news, only PEG II is specified.
I'm very exited to test it tonight. With a very very small linux, I'll have a lot of memory for MOL with my PEG I. With a complet Debian install, 256MO of RAM is too short. |

Posted by pegxlin DEV on 28-Apr-2004 18:46 GMT | In reply to Comment 21 (serge): There seems to be alot of confusing going on here,
* ITS RUNS on all Pegasos Boards
* No memory limit, as it can use your swap partition for extra memory |

Posted by Eva on 29-Apr-2004 05:08 GMT | I want to fix my post and clarify that IT RUNS PERFECTLY also under Pegasos1 !
SUre the doference in performance between Pegasos 1 and Pegasos 2 should consider anyone to switch to Pegasos 2: the Marvell chip and DDR ram, really push up the G3 and G4 performance (enstead of the crap Mai Articia). |

Oh, you meant _bandwidth_? Now that's a different story. It's simply been dieting. |
