In reply to Comment 7 (bbuilder):
I have to agree, it's a disjointed and frustrating press release. I can't tell if it's just so badly written you can't tell what it means, or if it really doesn't mean anything. Either way (speaking as somebody who is openly rooting for Amiga, Inc.) it's pretty disappointing.
I have no clue what to make of a sentence like:
"Amiga Incorporated, is pleased to announce that its new multi-media consumer interface is well supported by Corel LINUX OS and other Corel applications including the newly released WordPerfect Office 2000 for Linux."
I can understand an OS supporting an interface (Corel Linux can host the Amiga interface, no problem). But applications? Are they trying to say WPO2000 will run within the Amiga interface? Even without an underlying Linux OS? I find that hard to believe! (It's great if true, though!) Or are they jsut saying, running the Amiga interface on top of Linux won't prevent the Linux box from running WPO2000? If so, is that really news?
Hey, Bill & Fleecy - if you need somebody with some writing experience to help out with this stuff, drop me a line! My journalism experience tells me that vague announcements like this lead to confusion and unfounded expectations. And those are bad things!
